Hi, just attempted to install Solaris 10 Core installation only, dhcp, java, dtlogin, xorg and then SRSS 4.1 and SRWC 2.1. Figuring out what dependencies were required along the way by looking into logs and stderr/stdout.
Managed to have a 'headless' srss running, DTU could establish session and presents a Solaris login and that's all I could do... Tried to configure policy for SRWC default kiosk mode but still unable to uttsc into a RDP server, just the Solaris login. Will try to figure out what's wrong/missing... ...until someday there could be a thin SRSS for VDI purpose. Attached some of my logs (including packages installed) at ( http://www.4shared.com/file/95923835/6a3ed4b/thinSolarisAttempttar.html). Would be nice if this was successful, disk usage just a little over 1G (instead of the usual full complete installation) and the little number of packages/services to keep track of for patching...etc. thanks, James On Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 12:53 AM, James Tan <[email protected]> wrote: > Looked like I have to check out the route of performing a complete Solaris > installation... ... > > Is netservices limited advisable?
