i have one thing that could make problems for you, your java_home...
can you reconfigure srss after copying java to another directory like:
cp -r /root/srss_4.1/Supplemental/Java_Runtime_Environment/Linux/jre1.5.0_11
/opt
ln -s /opt/jre1.5.0_11 /opt/jre
then your answer this like follows:
Enter Java v1.5 (or later) location [/usr/java]: /opt/jre
Then try to configure as normal. I just hope that the restricted access that
you can find on the /root directory is making this error on your configuration.
