Hi all,

I have a client with less than 50 users and they keep complaining they cannot print properly. The most common error is "Failed to open the printer port. (No such file or directory)". While the error seems straightforward to understand, I really have tried countless time without success to locate the root cause. Literally the error means that the path such as "/tmp/SUNWut/units/IEEE802.00144ff7f30a/dev/printers/FX710222" suddenly cannot be opened.

a. What is the cause of such problem?
b. Can also share with me on how to improve redirected printing from Windows?
