Ah, OK....still suspicious though... :)

I know that the underlying OS that runs SRSS (Solaris, SuSE, RHEL) can handle "multiple button" mice, which is basically what most of these are. I've had a couple of mice with different scroll wheels (vert + horizontal) and the movements were passed up to windows successfully.

However, if this particular mouse needs drivers on the windows side to work properly, then it's a non-starter. Best thing to do is test it out.

I asked if they had run Catia V5 over RDP and they said "yes". They said they were doing it now. I had the same concerns as you but they seem satisfied with the solution.

Have zero clue on the mouse, but after googling Catia V5, I'd say that's not a good fit for Sun Ray, nor RDP. Have they tested this and approve the performance?

Do the Sun Rays support attaching a 3D mouse like the 3DConnexion SpacePilot? SRSS is Solaris/X86 and backend system is Windows XP Pro. They want to drive Catia V5 with a Sun Ray using the 3D mouse.
