Hi all, Just a FYI / heads up that utrestart, or more specifically /etc/init.d/utacleanup is rather thorough in it's cleanup of the X11 session files, doing an 'rm -rf' on /tmp/SUNWut. This really sucks when you don't fully understand what occurs and have a legacy practice of doing CIFS mounts under /tmp/SUNWut/mnt/username, then issue a 'utrestart -c' and wonder where all your corporate share files have gone :(
Not that I'm trying to advocate technical workarounds for stupid administrators, but considering there's no "don't cross mount points" option to rm, would you consider a feature request to check /etc/mtab or similar for mounts under /tmp/SUNWut? An annotation in the SRSS administrators guide to not add anything to /tmp/SUNWut as it should only ever be for temporary Sun Ray stuff? I can see that utrestart will stop utstorage before cleaning up, is there ever a case where a USB disk from a DTU can still be mounted when utacleanup runs and thus wipe it's contents or is that not possible with utstoraged down? If utstoraged fails to die?
