Just checked my policy and I noticed the -D was missing (maybe a typo
during my install) so I reran the utpolicy correctly, still 26B - did a
fresh reboot (+ utrestart -c) still nothing, however I now notice that
it is "trying" as from prstat I see:
/opt/SUNWut/lib/Xnewt :11 -auth /var/lib/gdm/:11.Xauth +bs -dpms
and more gdmgreeters.....

Look in /var/log/gdm.
