There are a few Sun Ray engineers that may be able to give you a more
exact timeline, but I believe they came out of Sun Labs and
into the "general user" arena sometime around 1999-2000. Not sure how
long they were in Sun Labs being developed though. Again,
this is just when I first remember seeing them, but it may not be exact.
