If you plug the device directly into a Linux system, run lsusb -v & look for
your device, you'd see several fields listed under its interface descriptor.
Interface Descriptor:

bInterfaceClass 8 Mass Storage
bInterfaceSubClass 6 SCSI
bInterfaceProtocol 80 Bulk (Zip)
SRSS implements 8/6/80 & 8/5/80.
