We've had this issue as well. With 4.1 the X server defaults to "Xnewt", which seems to cause that behavior. I resolved this by changing one line in /path/to/ICAClient/config/wfclient.ini:
old: [Xdpy - X11/NeWS - Sun Microsystems Inc.] new: [Xdpy - Sun Microsystems, Inc.] That should do it, actually. The new line contains the vendor string, which one can get with "xdpyinfo". Another way could be to change the default X server (utxconfig), but I never tried it as it isn't really necessary.
