Not in the sense of actually installing and using. I have seen a NC State's
VCL (Virtual Computing Lab) demoed. And in a previous life I used Citrix.

But I have been extremely impressed with the ease of installation and use of
Sun's VDI. I installed Sun's SGD (Secure Global Desktop) on the same server
and it was remarkably fast! It is really the Tarantella product that Sun
bought. I liken it to Citrix on roids. It also went in easily. In the spirit
of full disclosure, I did not set up any application servers, say a Windows
server to serve out apps to SGD. I used everything Sun for my trials and it
was all on one server. But I had the whole thing up an running in about an
hour. It took another hour to setup groups, etc. I use Sun Rays to connect.
And I used Ubuntu, Windows and OpenSolaris, all running FireFox, to test SGD.
All worked great.

I use xVM (Xen) to run VMs for our Computer Science Department. I have had a
lot of success with that. I have been able to serve out 12 fully virtualized
Debian instances on a 4600 with no problems. I did load XenCenter from Citrix
and try it and it is a great product. I used the free version and like it
better than ESXi.

Hope that helps.
