I think Jörg meant to type OSD Code 22. Typically this is because the default firewall is installed and enabled. Try "chkconfig iptables off"

If you do want a firewall, the required ports are in the admin guide.

Hi,
This is a new install, following instructions from the wiki.
Everything seems to have gone ok but I can't get Xnewt running. The
server is headless and an attempt to run Xnewt returns the following
error:-

# /opt/SUNWut/lib/Xnewt

Fatal server error:
SunRay Session map does not exist (display 0)!

Xnewt is specific to Sun Ray and can only run in a Sun Ray session.

A look at /var/log/Xnewt does not reveal a lot - just the one line:-

Thu Aug 20 20:37:27 BST 2009: ARGS= XFIX=

Also, and I'm not sure if this is significant but there is no file
/var/log/SUNWut/messages which looks like it should be written to as a
result of utrestart -c
# utrestart -c
A cold restart has been initiated... messages will be logged to
/var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages.

[r...@ositserver lib]# ls -l /var/log/SUNWut/

Read more closely. Most runtime log files of SRSS are in /var/opt/SUNWut/log, not under /var/log.

For 26D and presumed Xnewt issues, you should also look at the /var/log/gdm/* log files.

First things to check though (using ps):
- Is gdm running and has a slave gdm process for every Sun Ray session
- If yes: is there an Xnewt process for every Sun Ray session

If gdm and Xnewt seem to work OK, there also may be network issues that can cause 2D (usually because UDP does not get through).
