Too bad gdm isn't clever enough to realise that it should still run despite there being no physical card. Gotta love adopting software from the Linux world :/

This isn't fatal to GDM, just fatal to display 0. That shouldn't be a problem. Are there no other files in that directory? There was a bug in 4.1 I believe, try running "utrestart -c" and see if your problems clear up.

Also, I'd highly recommend using the newly-released 4.2 EA2 bits instead of 4.1 at this point.
Where can an outsider get those bits?
