I don't see you mention what version of SRSS you are running? And what
version of CentOS?
Are you running the latest 4.2 EA2 software release on up-to-date CentOS
5? Several bugs have been fixed related to XKB in SRSS.
Here's a pointer to the download:

Hello everyone,
I'm affraid I'm still struggling with my SunRay test setup!
Last time, I contacted you regarding the crash of an application,
which was solved by changing the X server from Xnewt to XSun.
I'm not sure whether this has a consequence on my new problem, which
is still related to the xserver:
The machine running srss is a v20z, running solaris 10. If I log onto
it, some keys of the keyboard don't work (namely every key accessed
using AltGr, which on a french keyboard means @, |, ... ). If I log
onto my CentOS machine, I have the same behaviour. Worse, after some
time, the keyboard mapping changes, and all key retun numbers (between
0 and 9!).
I changed the xkb setting (it was off):
utxconfig -ak on
After that, the keyboard (which is a sun type 6 with french mapping by
the way) works perfectly on the solaris box. However, on the CentOS
machine, the Xserver crashes almost immediately after logon.
Even more bizarre, if I log onto the Centos Machine without the mouse
plugged in (also a sun mouse), it doesn't crash. Then, when I plug the
mouse, the X session terminates.
the /var/dt/Xsession on the srss machine:

Any idea? Should I stick with xkb off (then how to get the AltGr key
to work?) or should I try and correct the centos behaviour (I have the
impression that centos is trying to set the power being delivered to
the mouse, and fails)?
Best Regards
