Hello,
anybody could help me with the following issue please. when many sunrays are connected, it could happen that some of them loose their sessions suddenly, but the processes still running on the server!

I assume you mean the desktop session processes. That's normal when a Sun Ray disconnects - the nature of Sun Ray thin clients is that they can connect and disconnect from their session without killing the desktop session processes.

So your problem is simply that your Sun Rays are disconnecting unexpectedly. How many Sun Rays and servers do you have deployed? Can you give hardware details regarding your servers? What type, how much memory, # and type of CPUs?

This can happen for a couple of reasons:
1Your server is heavily oversubscribed, and the SRSS utauthd daemon can't issue heartbeats in a timely manner, causing the Sun Rays to time out and attempt to reconnect. 1A This can happen sometimes if the SRDS datastore has become poorly indexed over time due to lots of data deletion operations. Do you frequently delete token registrations either through utuser -d or the Admin GUI? 1B This can also happen when you simply have underprovisioned your hardware, and it's swapping heavily. What does your system load look like at such times? 2 You have a network problem which is dropping a lot of packets. Have you tried running utcapture to measure packet loss?
