Hello,
I've installed Sun VDI 3.1 with Windows 7 Ultimate Desktops running on
ESX 4.0. When I try to install the VDI-Tools on the Windows host, the
installation is stops with this error message:
--------------------------------------------------
Neither VMWare Tools Hyper-V integration services are installed. Sun VDI
Tools cannot be installed unless one of these has been installed.
--------------------------------------------------
VMWare tools 4.0.0 build 171294 are installed and running.
Am I hitting a bug?
Can't say atm because AFAIK Windows 7 is not officially supported by
VMware with vSphere 4.0( they may/will in 4.0 u1), so neither VDI can. I
have used Windows 7 Professional where vdi tools install properly but i
see some different issues.
So,probably you may want to wait until VMware supports it.
Note : I can confirm that it works great using VirtualBox and Hyper-V,
the 2 other options available with VDI..
Thanks,
