Thanks Ceri,
Sounds like a nice setup, and will keep it in mind.

However would not quite work for our particular needs, I think. We need
to re-aim some of the DTUs fairly frequently, for development and other
test reasons. Our units are not distributed in any way that particularly
relates to our subnetting either. So the GUI fw is really handy.

FWIW, we achieve exactly that without having to fiddle with GUI
firmware, custom DHCP options or any hands-on DTU configuration.
Environment is (essentially, there is a little more than this for
extra fiddling):

 1) Two VMs running SRS in a FOG, used for test.
 2) Two x4150s running SRS in a FOG, used for production.
 3) One VM "running" SRS.

We don't have a private interconnect either.

The #3 VM doesn't actually run any sessions; it's used purely to
distribute firmware and .parms files. We point all the DTUs to it when
they boot via the sunray-config-servers DNS entry; when they power on,
they connect, check for new firmware (and install it if necessary), then
download their .parms file which points them at the correct FOG via the
servers= option.

That must be wonderful! I don't understand it at all.
