Thanks Ceri, Sounds like a nice setup, and will keep it in mind. However would not quite work for our particular needs, I think. We need to re-aim some of the DTUs fairly frequently, for development and other test reasons. Our units are not distributed in any way that particularly relates to our subnetting either. So the GUI fw is really handy.

FWIW, we achieve exactly that without having to fiddle with GUI firmware, custom DHCP options or any hands-on DTU configuration. Environment is (essentially, there is a little more than this for extra fiddling): 1) Two VMs running SRS in a FOG, used for test. 2) Two x4150s running SRS in a FOG, used for production. 3) One VM "running" SRS. We don't have a private interconnect either. The #3 VM doesn't actually run any sessions; it's used purely to distribute firmware and .parms files. We point all the DTUs to it when they boot via the sunray-config-servers DNS entry; when they power on, they connect, check for new firmware (and install it if necessary), then download their .parms file which points them at the correct FOG via the servers= option.
