I have the same issue.Solaris on VMware, SRSS 4.1, now upgraded to 4.2,
Viewclient 1.1, Vmware View 3. Xp machines
It randomly happens on various sunrays. The screen turns off after 5 seconds, then u move mouse and its back.. and this repeats, until i terminate the session.
I'have tried now adding the xset -dmps in the vmd kiosk script.. will see it it
helps...
None of the logs seem to have any info on the matter.
regards

Hi all,
We have a setup of Sun Ray with VMware View and Windows XP workstations.
Sun Ray is running version 4.1 and is fully patched.
Everything works great except the screensaver jumps in way too fast. If you
don't move your mouse or a key during a couple of seconds, the screen goes
black and the monitor goes in powersave mode. The users start to complain.
Any idea on how to solve it?
I don't know if it helps, but the Sun Ray server is also a virtual machine.

Wouter
I've noticed this too at one of our customers (a large warehouse /
Distribution Center that uses the Sun Rays for workstations) - but I
have a slightly different setup. SRSS 4.1 on Solaris 10u6 connecting
via uttsc to Win 2003 server. The Sun Rays will go to sleep within
seconds of no usage. If you do a <STOP>+<A> on them the problem will
go away on that particular Sun Ray for a few days and then just seems
to randomly re-appear.
I had almost forgotten about this until I read this message. I need
to get that server up to speed on patches and see if that solves the
problem.
Cheers,
Mike
