John, "-once" was the solution. The UNIX session ends upon logout and control transfers back to my KIOSK menu. Which is exactly what I wanted.
Thank you very much for this solution. I was trying utaction with kioskrestart, but that was not working. I guess I need to understand its use a little better. BTW, the description of this option is the Xserver man page(Solaris 10).
