Thanks Jens. I selected gdm-2.20 then I see this message.

"dpkg: gdm: dependency problems, but removing anyway as you requested:
 ubuntu-desktop depends on gdm.
 indicator-session depends on gdm.
Removing gdm ..."

I assumed that was OK and continued.

I am stuck on the utconfig section now with the following message:

"/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utpw: error while loading shared libraries:
libldap.so.199: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory"

Any suggestions?

By the way I'm doing a 32bit installation.
