The SR2 units perform this check automaticly. The softclient defaults to 1500. You can test this by performing in a command prompt box 'ping -l 1500 -f sunrayserverIP'. If you get "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set". the MTU it's too high. When I connect through a IPSEC tunnel i need to lower this to 1266 to get proper response.
