Turn off loadbalancing
and on each location put the prefered server first on the dtu. Thats done
with dhcp or over parms file.

Just wondering if it's possible to automatically redirect Sun Ray
sessions to the "nearest" (in terms of network topology) server in a FOG?
We've got following scenario:
3 different locations at a distance of about 50-150 km, connected through
a MAN/WAN, each with one VLAN (which are routed with each other) and one
Sun Ray server. Every host can serve any client, regardless of the
location. Failover is working as expected, but the group manager directs
the sessions with regard to system parameters like load, CPU cores etc.,
and not network parameters like latency or bandwidth.
What I would like to have: All DTUs from one site should prefer the
appropriate Sun Ray server from that site. (Cause the latency and the
failure probability are somewhat higher between the locations compared to
a LAN.) Anyone can give me a pointer of how to implement that?
Hagen
