I've already had a go at characterising this issue at http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5427292&tstart=0
However, the symptom is that I get to state 44 in the startup sequence, and then it appears for all the world like the client (an SDAC in this case) is proudly showing a display which has nothing on it. There are no more startup OSD messages which would indicate trouble connecting. But neither is there anything besides the pleasant blue background of the SDAC client window. Even the mouse pointer disappears when I move it inside the SDAC client window, to re-appear when the cursor leaves that window. The dtlogin GUI is nowhere in sight. There is nothing consistently obvious in /var/opt/SUNWut/logs/messages or the SDAC logs for the 'session'. This line: pam_sunray_hotdesk:pam_sm_auth: ut_getTokenByDisplay failed -1 for display :2 seems a little ominous, but I can't be sure it's a problem, and it doesn't appear every time I restart the SDAC client. In short, I don't even know where to look to find out what is wrong. Can someone please help me diagnose this issue? thanks, David
