Thanks, Jason From: Jason Doyle [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: February-04-10 5:12 PM To: '[email protected]'; 'Sun Ray Tech' Subject: Broadcasting a message to Sun Ray and SGD users Team, IHAC with SGD deployed to provide an interface into all health care applications ... upwards of 750 concurrent users. About ½ of the users are coming from Windows PCs, the other half are from Sun Rays. On the Sun Rays were using a Java Desktop + Firefox browser (kiosk) that directs users to SGD. The customer is wondering if theres a way to get a message out to all users, instantaneously either via SGD or SRSS (JDS)? For example, if theres an issue with their primary health care system theyd like to be able to inform users via pop-up. They could update the Webtop with a message but this isnt ideal as once a user has opened an application they will not have the Webtop in focus and from a PC they may not have a Webtop. Thought or suggestions? Thanks, -- Jason Doyle Solutions Specialist Sun Microsystems, Atlantic IMO Desk: 506.642.2353 Mobile: 506.333.3917 Email: <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected]
