I'm using the Follow-Me 0.3 scripts to pass a locally attached printer to
Windows.

I see the printer queue configured in Solaris. It looks fine.

I see the printer in the Windows Printers&Faxes panel. It looks fine.

I can print a test page and see it appear on the Windows queue for the
configured printer. I can see it appear in the Solaris print queue. I can see
it leave the Solaris print queue. Yet nothing appears on the printer. It
doesn't even wiggle.

Here's the Solaris setup:

r...@sr01:/etc/opt/SUNWkio/sessions:lpstat -t
scheduler is running
no system default destination
device for 00144fa81d96:
/tmp/SUNWut/units/IEEE802.00144fa81d96/dev/printers/HPCN72F1N2HQ04SM

printer 00144fa81d96 idle. enabled since Thu Feb 11 10:16:20 2010. available.
r...@sr01:/etc/opt/SUNWkio/sessions:

Here's what I see in /var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages:

Feb 11 11:12:56 sr01 kiosk:uttsc[26592]: [ID 702911 user.notice] request id is
00144fa81d96-26 (standard input)

The printer was created in Solaris with these options:

pfexec /usr/sbin/lpadmin \
                        -p $theMACAddr \
                        -v $thePrinterDeviceNode \
                        -A none \
                        -o banner=never \
                        -I any \
                        -u allow:all

 pfexec /usr/bin/enable $theMACAddr
 pfexec /usr/sbin/accept $theMACAddr

Any suggestions, RTFMs, etc gratefully appreciated.

Art
