Most likely the SUNWCuser cluster does not have some font that is in the SUNWCall cluster. I believe that CDE terminals will try to open a font that looks something like:

-dt-interface user-medium-r-normal-s*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

So, use the xlsfonts command to see what font is matching that and compare on the two systems:

 xlsfonts -fn "-dt-interface user-medium-r-normal-s*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*"

Sorry, no sample output right now as I am on an OpenSolaris machine at the moment which doesn't have dt fonts.

Once you determine the missing font, then see what package it belongs to and add that package.

hello all,
i have 4 x sun v440 solaris with solaris 10 and SRSS 3.1.
2 machines are S10u6 with SUNWCall, two recents with S10u8 SUNWCuser, that's the main difference.
But if you look at this screenshot of a S10u8 with SUNWCuser:

instead of S10u6 with SUNWCall:

What causes the difference in the fonts?

xfs is running on the servers.

Anybody can help?

thanks in advance,
