I guess u will have to set ips manualy on each dtu. In the gui firmware.

Well, in fact we have a subdomain. But how would this help the DHCP server (which is not under our control) to distinguish our SunRays from those of
another department?

It wouldn't, but it would mean that you could happily have
sunray-config-servers.dept.uni.edu.
