Hello,

I assume that by flash disk you are talking about a USB memory stick ?

The criteria for recognizing a usb memory stick ON LINUX are:

1. You must have the supplied Kernel modules compiled in to the Kernel ( this is normally done by the install script. But can fail for various reasons that is poorly explained. Bad Compiler/linker environment ? Strange / Modified Kernel ? )

A reeboot after installtion is required to load the newly built kernel modules !!!!!!!

2. the Sun Ray storage and mount daemons "utstoraged" " utmountd" must be running. ( They wont run if the Kernel modules has failed to compile and link in )

3. The USB Memmory stick must be formatted with the MSDOS FAT format.
