Hello,
Over the past 2 weeks I have had a total of four SunRay 270 fail because the NIC stopped working correctly. All four terminals boot ok and begin to look for an IP but if you look at the NIC on the back only the amber light is on (the green light is off). The terminals are just 2 weeks over 1 year old so they are not covered by the warranty. My main concern is why would we go 1 full year with no failures and then have 4 fail in 2 weeks. I am wondering if my Cisco 3560G (full PoE) could be sending too much power and damaging the NIC? Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could look at? We have not had any power issues in the past 2 weeks. I now have 4 SunRay 270s that seem to be ok except that they do not connect to the network. Any idea where I could get them fixed? Thank you for your time. Bryan Gawronski Head of Technology Services Albright-Knox Art Gallery 1285 Elmwood Ave Buffalo NY 14222 716-270-8269 [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
