For most part users will be connected to windows server via sunray
connector. From what I , the sunray connector will not be able to
resize automagicaly?

Otherwise you'd use the utfit script with the caveat that with xrandr
you can only go down or back to the original, you can't increase
resolution. You can solve this minor problem by setting a default
resolution for all your DTU's that matches your largest, then run
utfit for every session.
