Hi Dark, I am using non Sun British English PC usb keyboards for VDI and native JDS sessions. I had to turn utxconfig -a -k off to stop the software probing and guessing the layout. (US of cause ;-) On some units where I had allowed self registration for a dual use of VDI and JDS the "US" layout at the login screens is no longer a problem (power off or on and it stays with UK British English always) The units which are configured for VDI only and hot desking with smart cards exhibit exactly the same symptoms you'd described when the unit is turned off and back on. In my particular case running ctr+alt+bcksp+bcksp does not solve the problem. It's just disconnects keyboard completely from the unit.
