Hi Peter (and others)
We indeed did release upstream support for Windows XP with the last
patch release. However, we did a poor job with out test cases and wound
up with some issues. End result is that the only reliable setup was
Solaris SPARC for SRSS and any Sun Ray besides a 3+. Thus we didn't
tout the feature like you'd expect, but it's listed on the what's new
page of SRWC 2.2.
A new patch is imminent and should appear on Sunsolve shortly to resolve
the issues. The components that need patching however are on the SRSS
side of the equation, so feel free to get ready by updating the Sun Ray
Windows Connector Tools on your windows images.
It is true that RDP 5.2 lacks native support for upstream, this solution
is specific for XP and Sun Ray.

Hi,
I heard a rumor (from Oracle/Sun PM to one of ours to me) that SRS 5
patches released in July added upstream support for Windows XP and 2003.
Claimed Windows 7 support coming, but not there yet. I can see no clue
that it would be the case in any of the patch readmes.

Is this true? Last I heard this lack of 2-way audio to Windows /WTS was
due to lack of support for the upstream direction in RDP (or may it was
Microsoft's implementation of it). If there is some truth to this I
would sure like to check it out. (If no truth, I do not want to waste my
time.)
