Oracle products certified on Oracle Linux are also certified and supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux due to implicit compatibility between both distributions. Oracle does not run any additional testing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux products.

This is true of 100% of Oracle products with regards to RHEL.

No more support for Red Hat, either, I take it.  Let’s see, that makes our Linux choices….

“Oracle Linux”

Wow.  What a shock.

You guys just lost another customer.

I logged a support call to get 140995-06 patch for SRSS 4.2 or a IDR, the initial response was
"SRSS 5.1 released today"

That's great, now we probably can discard our utdevmgrd-4.1-binary and still keep our FOG running - thanks, Murray, for bringing this up again.
So I will tackle it as soon as possible - unfortunately semester already started and the cluster is heavily in use.

Concerning Wim's anti-smurf-Xnewt: is there a fix for the RGB-mask-problem or is it still necessary (possible/advisable) to use the unsupported binary from here:
to get correct flash-colors?

P.S.: just found this in the release notes (http://wikis.sun.com/display/SRSS4dot2/SRSS+4.2+Release+Notes):
"SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) will not be supported in future Sun Ray Software releases."

Damn. Bet on the wrong horse. May I bring up the wish for Ubuntu-support again?

Best regards,
Nico
