I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on my Sun Ray 3+, but I'm getting an
"invalid module type" error on the DTU.
The DTU currently has the following firmware on it
currentFW=4.2_33_2010.02.26.14.48
currentBarrier=420
currentBarrierLevel=420
The firmware that I'm trying to upgrade to came with patch 140994-05
(4.2_140993-05_2010.08.25.23.16). The firmware server currently has
SRSS 4.2 and patch 140994-05 installed on it and is running DHCP and tftp.
If I snoop port 69 on the private interface, I can see the DTUs
communicating to the server. I was able to change the FwSrvr parameter
in the .parms file, so I know it's able to communicate. However I can't
seem to get it to update it's firmare. I have tried both the regular
and the gui firmware, as well as the firmware that is part of 140994-03.
Has anyone had any luck getting this firmware onto a Sun Ray 3+?
Does anyone have any additional information on the "invalid module type"
error message?
