Hi ,
I would like you to confirm or deny that some of the stuff I see
on my new Virtual WinXP
is correct or not.
1. Is the SRS-winstaller.exe contained in the patch 145226-01
a complete release of the MMR stuff
or do I need to install the SRS-Winstall.exe contained in the
SRWC-2.2 release prior to the patch version ?
2. I have a Windows XP SP3 machine installed ontop of virtualbox
3.2.8 running in the vdi3dot2 environment
installed on a quadcore AMD Phenom II workstation with 8 GB
ram and Solaris x86 09/10
Patches 140994-05 and 143215-04 and 145226-01 is installed
on top of the vdi3dot2 installation.
The Sun Ray 3 + client is used.
3. Looking at the AUDIO drivers in the Winxp sp3 machine I see
the following details
Sounds and Audio Devices Properties Applet
Volume TAB Microsoft RDP Driver.
AUDIO TAB Playback default device: Sun Ray RDP AUDIO driver
Sound Recording default device : Sun Ray
RDP Audio Input driver
[ Volume and Advanced buttons are
grayed out ]
VOICE TAB Voice Playback default device: Sun Ray RDP
AUDIO driver
Voice Recording default device: Sun
Ray RDP Audio Input driver
[ Volume and Advanced buttons are
grayed out ]
Volume Control Applet
ONLY Audio Volume drawbar visable
states : Microsoft RDP Audio Driver.
4. There are no visible Microphone enable/disable
mute/unmute or volume drawbars
5. Is this the expected scenario after a complete
deployment ? if not what should it look like ?
I cant record any sounds and am not sure if I have a
broken Microphone or broken windows installation
