Greetings all,

I have noticed a very interesting thing. I have a Sun Ray 2 connecting to a
RHEL4 server. Things work very well. The connection is 100Full and things are
nice and zippy as I move from screen to screen.

I connected a Sun Ray 3 to the same server using the same wire (except the SR3 connects
at 1000Full). When I move through various screens, I can now see "redraw"
lines scrolling through.

Put the SR2 back in and all is back to normal..no lines.

Any help on this would be great. Is there an MTU setting that needs to be
changed on the SR3 or something else I am missing?

What sort of desktop environment and applications are you using?
Are the drawing issues particular to certain applications?
By moving between various screens, do you mean switching GNOME workspaces?

        resolution

I just started using a Sunray 3 and it is having difficulty select the
correct resolution for the monitor. I occasionally had this issue with
the Sunray 2 but I would just log off and the Sunray (DTU) would
automatically reset to the correct resolution. The Sunray 3 is not
behaving the same way.

Sorry It has me so long to reply. I was on vacation for two week. I am using a HP L1800 monitor ( it is old but it worked fine with Sunray 2FS) with a DVI to VGA adapter. As far as what is when (monitor or sunray) it does not seem to matter. The monitor resolution is 1280x1024.

Kim do you have any updates on this ?

Steve
