This is because firefox actually listens to what the LD_PRELOAD is set to. Your LD_PRELOAD for srss is setup via /etc/opt/SUNWut/xinitrc.d/0100.SUNWut

I had problems with other apps and LD_PRELOAD so I ended up commenting out the 'export LD_PRELOAD' in the aforementioned script with no problems.

The problem I still have is with browser radio buttons not showing up. What's peculiar is that if I use console or VNC on the server running srss the radio buttons show up fine, but via dtu's the radio buttons do not display properly or are totally gone. It is however fixed if I downgrade to firefox 3.0, or use chrome.
