These are temporary files used by 'utwho' and 'utfwload'. It's a bug that they don't get removed. You can safely delete the old ones, and as a workaround to prevent new ones from being left around you can edit the 'trap' lines in 'utwho' and 'utfwload' to remove these in addition to the other files that are already removed by that line.
