Subject: [SunRay-Users] Serving Linux (TS-style) Desktops - Best Option?

So I'm going to start deploying a larger number of Linux desktops in a
"terminal server" style environment and was wondering what the best way to go
about that was. I've got an existing VDI setup on Solaris 10 x86, and a smaller
Linux kiosk setup on OEL5. Only problem is that I REALLY don't like OEL (or
RHEL, or really any RPM based distro), and would like to use Debian/Ubuntu.
Based on that, I want to see what people think the best option would in regards
to support, features, and user experience (performance, etc).

1) Kiosk session that can ssh -X (or other basic X forwarding) from Linux host
to Sun Ray session
2) Kiosk session using Xephyr/XDMCP to Linux host
3) XDMCP from native Sun Ray server to Linux box (does utxsun do this?)
4) Run SRS on Debian/Ubuntu for a "native" experience
5) Bite my tongue and just run OEL

Also, for the first 3 options, would there be any benefit from having the Sun
Ray host run OEL vs. Solaris?
