Hi all, did an upgrade on a test server to SRS 5.2 and read about the possible use of an external smartcard reader and got curious.
So I disabled the internal reader via utdevadm bash-3.00# utdevadm Sun Ray Device Service Status ------------------------------ ------------ internal_serial enabled internal_smartcard_reader disabled usb enabled and restarted via utrestart -c but when I run now uttsc -m -b -r usb:on -l de-DE -A 24 -N off -D -r scard:on pc0261 the result is quite weird ... C:\Users\fuerle>certutil -scinfo Die Microsoft Smartcard-Ressourcenverwaltung wird ausgeführt. Aktueller Leser-/Kartenstatus: Leser: 1 0: Sun Ray DTU Internal Reader 00 00 --- Leser: Sun Ray DTU Internal Reader 00 00 --- Status: SCARD_STATE_EMPTY why do I see the internal card reader on my pc, when it is disabled. When I plug in the card into the Sun ray, it also reacts and starts session and so on ... on the other hand I attached a HP Smart Card Terminal and I don't see the embedded card reader in the -scinfo, altough -r usb:on is enabled ... any ideas ... thomas
