Hi Stuart,

this is all I found so far after klicking around a while, as we have a strict
policy, that every sun ray must be confirmed (client auth, the well known error
49 if not confirmed). Much better, the Edit Token looks nice with your fix,
while with IE8 is ugly, this needs to be fixed by Oracle. So if you can fix the
confirm thing, I would be happy.

regards, thomas

Hi Thomas,

What else on the Administration GUI doesn't work in FF4?? You mentioned that
you cannot confirm a Sun Ray..?

I'll try and create a fix.

Stuart.

Hi Karl,

go to the release notes ...
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E22662_01/PDF/EN/SRS5.2-RN-E22660-01.pdf

so far I use it now for two days and this is my impression

+ everything oracle stylesheets now, but the view session, edit token
stylesheet is ugly in IE8, FF4 is not working, the was a fix here in the
mailing list, which creates other probs like e.g I cannot confirm a Sun Ray.

+ uttsc is nice now if you use double screen like me for daily work (left and
right screen is now working instead of cinerama mode (i.e all windows on both
screen in full size was not what I liked). So I could deinstall splitview now,
it's not longer needed.

- for some reasons I don't know the refresh of the screen hangs from time to
time (putty, scrolling, reading pdfs), this is really bad, I tried a lot of
settings but found nothing useful so far. This is really bad, don't had this
slow response in 5.1 or SGD so far or at last I was not aware that thing, and I
work for almost a year now just virtual.

- still no support for large resolutions like 2560x1600, utresdef ends with
1920x1200. My 30" Screen comes soon, I'm quite disappointed as the docu says,
Sun Ray 3 plus is ready for 2560x1600.

- I'm not sure, if utresadm works correctly, I have set if for a beamer to
1024x1024 and still got some 1280x1024 window, where I can scroll back & forth;
when I kill the session 1 or 2 times, then it gets fixed to 1024x768 what was
my intention, after a stop-a we start again with the 1280x1024 window. Have not
seen so far such behaviour with VDI 3.2 or SRS 5.1.2, must test more detailed.

just some first impressions, will do more intensive tests in the next days
before rolling out to my hundreds of customers.

regards, thomas
