The boot sequence is the same on the SR3.

Are you putting the SR3 onto the same subnet as the SR2? If not, are
you sure that the DHCP service for this subnet is working correctly?
Are you sure the cable and switch port are good? (If you haven't
already tried pulling the network cable from the SR2 and plugging it
into the SR3, give that a shot. That way you know that the network
connection itself is sound.) Does the SR3 come up with the expected
bitrate and duplex settings?

Does the DHCP service have addresses available?  Is the DHCP service
configured to only offer addresses to certain MAC addresses, or does
it have some other constraints that could allow an SR2 but block an
SR3?

Does the SR2 depend on any local configuration data, either entered
through the local GUI or obtained by download on a secured subnet?
