We're seeing the same thing with our openoffice packages on our RHEL 5 servers running SRSS 5.2.3. We were able to confirm it was the upgrade to SRSS 5.2.3 that caused the change by confirming open office menus looked good, upgrading SRSS from 5.2.1 to 5.2.3, and seeing the text in the openoffice menus was then all dashes/underlines. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling open office just in case it was a file issue, but to no avail.
I submitted a ticket with Oracle this morning, but I am interested if anyone else has found a fix in the meantime.
