The Sun Ray is connecting to a Oracle Linux V5.6 with SRSS 5.2.3.
Logged on localy the connection to the Nomachine server is not a problem.

You need to create your own kiosk session type for this. Check the Sun Ray Kiosk Session Development Kit at <http://wikis.sun.com/display/DVDEV/Sun+Ray+Kiosk+SDK>, which has tips for getting started, debugging, etc.

I cannot interpret the Sun Ray Software Installation guide which
states: " Predefined kisok sessions that support a collection of
application in a restricted, desktop-like environment are not supported
on Linux"

The Solaris version of Sun Ray Software contains additional predefined (by Oracle) kiosk session types, which run a locked down CDE- or GNOME-based workspace and allow configuring applications to run in windows within that environment.

Similar kiosk session types are not available predefined from Oracle for Linux platforms.

Instead you have to develop your own kiosk session type.

For accessing a full-screen NX desktop, a custom kiosk session type is the better approach anyhow.
