Well the sunray shellscripts were what itched me most to rewrite
... If the whole stack had been opensource I might have done it ...

they did at some point actively support the project if I recall
correctly but abandoned that ...

there was this person who developed a java based vnc thing that
directly talks to sunray thinclinets ... I have not investigated
it, but this might be a way to actually make thinlink type sessions
talk directly to sunray clients ... (although performance might not
be stellar).
