If I am running SRS 5.3.1 but do not have SROS installed, is it possible to manage Sun Ray 1s (e.g. push out the Sun Ray 1 firmware from SRS 5.2.x)? We are going to be moving from an older version of the SRS on an older Solaris 10 SPARC (pre "soft ray") to RHEL5 and I would like to upgrade the units after the migration is complete. I suppose I could push out the newer firmware from the old Sun Ray server, but I would feel better if I could manage them after the old servers are decommissioned. I would look into buying a Sun Ray 3, but we have had to put a lot of effort in to just keeping the SRS (I should add the plan is to shift to OVDC, but being able to continue to use the SR1s is a very nice bonus).
