I was thinking about updating our SRSS servers from Solaris 10 to 11 (11.1) to be able to use ZFS encryption, built-in CIFS, and so on but I haven't seen anything about SRSS being updated for 11. I thought I remembered a post earlier this year saying this calendar year :-)
Some of us that have to deal with some fun federal rules are getting pushed to encrypt all data so having it available in the OS is useful. I guess I could refit some disks to with the self-encrypting types but does anyone know if there is management software for them in or available for Solaris? I know those from Oracle probably can't comment on upcoming stuff … Thanks, Stuart
