I just wanted to add a few more notes: 1) If I hold down the num lock key, I can use the number keys within Citrix and X-Session. I guess my users could tape the key down. I can't wait to send that email.
2) The num lock led does go on and off when pressing the key. It just doesn't do anything for Citrix unless the key is held down. 3) I am running on SPARC V490 running Solaris 10 1/13 patched with latest recommended patch cluster Any help would be appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, May 14, 2013 5:00 To: [email protected] Subject: SunRay-Users Digest, Vol 112, Issue 18 Send SunRay-Users mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of SunRay-Users digest..." Num lock seems to work fine inside the terminal and applications on the boot server. Has anyone run into this before. Is there a fix? I am not using KIOSK mode. I tried what was in this article despite the note about KIOSK and it did not work: http://docs.oracle.com/html/E25745_06/Clients-Howto-Enable-Numlock.html VR, Brian -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, May 13, 2013 5:00 To: [email protected] Subject: SunRay-Users Digest, Vol 112, Issue 17 Send SunRay-Users mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of SunRay-Users digest..." Afterward I found I could not log in via GDM with any user whose info came from LDAP, but local users worked fine. This was the case even though all other login methods would work for LDAP users. To fix this issue you need to install the 32-bit version of sssd-client, sssd-client.i686. Without the 32-bit version, errors are logged in /var/log/secure, and read like this: nscloginGUI: pam_succeed_if(utnsclogin:auth): error retrieving information about user nscloginGUI: pam_unix(utnsclogin:auth): check pass; user unknown nscloginGUI: pam_unix(utnsclogin:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost= nscloginGUI: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_sss.so): /lib/security/pam_sss.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory nscloginGUI: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_sss.so There are also similar errors about pam_gnome_keyring.so and pam_fprintd.so. The problem is the same as the sssd-client. The 32-bit versions, gnome-keyring-pam.i686 and fprintd-pam.i686, need to be installed.
