Hi All, I recently acquired a couple Sun Ray 3 plus clients which I intended to install in my lab. I have gotten them up and running on Oracle Linux with 5.4 and upgraded them to the latest SROS included in the SRS 5.2 package... it seems everything works but the media performance is not up to par with my expectations in 2k8 R2 uttsc sessions.
I have read that there were improvements with SROS11, but it seems SROS11 is only available with a support contract. I tried contacting Oracle through email but they seem to be unresponsive in helping me get started which has lead me to the following questions: 1) has anyone been successful with getting the required basic support contract entitlements for a small environment of a couple sun rays? 1a) What kind of pricing should I expect? 2) Is this really a worthwhile endeavor, or should I abandon the Sun Rays and look for PCoIP thing clients??
