It's pleasing to see the contribution from an oracle.com address Alan.
I've been here for years, though many of those were from a sun.com address.
(I can find mail I've sent to this list as far back as 2007.)
And I am sure a number of readers of the forum would be like a desert awaiting a
torrent of information from the Oracle source to clear up the questions that
have been posed since July this year from all around the globe.
I've always answered the ones I could, but I can't answer most of your questions
because:
a) I'm an engineer, not in the management arena, and absolutely not a corporate
spokesman.
b) I'm in the Solaris org, not the Linux & Virtualization org that Sun Ray was
under - completely different area of the org chart - Larry Ellison is the
only common point in the two org charts.
I don't know most of the answers you want, and can't breach company
confidentiality on any I may know. If you've got technical questions about
Solaris or X11, try me (though being only human, I only know a subset of the
answers about either). Otherwise, try your sales rep or support contact.
