Jude:

This is just a guess. Are you purging your /tmp and /var/tmp directories on a regular basis ? I know JDS has session files in those directories.

Dear All,

Merry Christmas,

We have sun ray fail over group of 3 nodes. Which are giving the windows
terminal server (Windows server 2008 R2) sessions. We face sometimes,
complete black out on whole sun ray sessions.
Every time a cold restart of all sun ray servers from web admin GUI fix
this issue.

Collected output of Utgather script has attached. Kindly help me to isolate
the issue.

We are migrating our Sunray clients from an older Ubuntu server to newer
hardware running Oracle Linux.

Our testing seemed to go well until we hit about 55 clients. This is not
a performance issue, in fact at the moment there are only 5 clients
active and 50 at gdm-simple-greeter. However, if we push past 55
additional clients get into gnome-session but never get a greeter (it
looks like the greeter exits with status 1).

So some sort of resource must be hitting us either in Oracle Linux or
Sunray server. Any ideas?

For the record we are running

%/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utrelease
Sun Ray Software 5.4.2.0.26
Sun Ray Operating Software 11.1.3.0.26

%more /etc/oracle-release
Oracle Linux Server release 6.4

%uname -a
Linux HOSTNAME 2.6.39-400.17.1.el6uek.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Feb 22 18:16:18
PST 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
